Trip Itinerary

• 17:30 – 18:30  | Pick-up & Departure – Meet at the designated meeting point at Central Chiangmai Airport for your comfortable transfer to the CAD cultural venue.
• 18:00 –  18:30  | Cultural Welcome & Food Festival – Arrive at the venue. Enjoy unlimited Lanna-style buffet, authentic Thai street food, and non-alcoholic beverages. Explore the cultural village and traditional art exhibitions.
• 19:00 – 19:30 | Grand Cultural Performances – Witness stunning traditional Lanna dances, live music, and sword dances on the main stage.
• 20:00 – 21:30 | Religious Chanting & Meditation Ceremony – Move to the sacred ritual area. Join monks in a peaceful meditation session to cleanse the soul for the upcoming year.
• 23:30 – 00:15 | The Grand Countdown & Mass Lantern Release – Prepare your lanterns. At the stroke of midnight, release your lanterns into the sky simultaneously, creating a sea of light.
• 00:30 | Return Transfer – Board the shuttle back to Chiang Mai city. (Drop-off locations to be determined).

How to Use Your E-Ticket

1. At the Meeting Point

• Locate the CAD Staff Tents at Central Chiangmai Airport.
• Show your E-ticket QR code on your phone for verification.
• Line up to board your shuttle bus.

2. At the Venue Gate (Registration)

• Upon arrival at the CAD venue, head to the registration gate.
• Scan your E-ticket QR code to exchange it for a Physical Paper Ticket.

3. Inside the Event (Food & Seating)

• Keep your paper ticket safe!
• You must present the physical paper ticket to enter the Food Zone and your designated seat in the Ritual Area.

Prohibited Items

For the safety of all guests and aviation regulations, the following items are strictly banned inside the venue:

• Outside lanterns (Only CAD-provided, certified eco-lanterns are permitted).
• Alcoholic drinks.
• Drones, professional recording equipment (unless pre-authorized), and tripods.
• Weapons, explosives, fireworks, and sharp objects.
• Pets.

Safety & Fire Protection

Your safety is our top priority. The Chiang Mai CAD festival complies fully with local government security standards:

• 100% Eco-Friendly Materials: All lanterns are made from natural bamboo, handmade paper, and cotton wax, designed to fully burn out in the air and biodegrade naturally.
• Official Permits: The event is fully approved by Chiang Mai's provincial government and aviation authorities, ensuring a dedicated, safe airspace.
• On-site Medical & Fire Teams: Professional medical tents, ambulances, and fire trucks will be stationed on-site throughout the entire event.

Travel Tips

• Dress Code:  Smart casual / Modest attire. Out of respect for the religious ceremony, please avoid sleeveless shirts, short skirts, or revealing clothing. Traditional Thai dress or light-colored clothes look best in festival photography!
• Weather:  Chiang Mai evenings in December can get surprisingly chilly (18℃-20℃). We highly recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl.
• Arrive Early:  Traffic on New Year's Eve in Chiang Mai is exceptionally heavy. Please arrive at Central Chiangmai Airport 30 minutes before your scheduled departure.
